About our town & home

Our Home:

Our home is a designated "Heritage Home" and is located just minutes away from the Penetanguishene harbour shoreline. It is referred to locally as The Thompson House. It was built in 1859 by A. A. Thompson, the first mayor of Penetanguishene and prominent fur trader in the area.

After several years of renovation and restoration to our home, we are very excited to finally be able to offer our home for your getaway. We look forward to meeting you.

Our Town:

The Town of Penetanguishene is located at the southern tip of Georgian Bay and offers an array of amenities, numerous recreational activities as well as many tourism attractions for both winter and summer enjoyment. These days the harbour is used mainly as recreational waters, with famous ships such as the "Tall Ships" having used the Penetanguishene harbour for summer events.

Come discover some of our famous local attractions including King's Wharf Theatre, Penetanguishene Centennial Museum & Archives, Georgian Queen boat tours, Discovery Harbour, Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons, Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre or the Martyr's Shrine just to name a few.
